It’s 4:30pm on Monday and the Flex Pass is about to begin. Waiting patiently in the lobby, ready to go is Ireland Haueter. In only her 3rd year playing, Ireland is passionate about the game. Her love for the game originated in none other than FLORIDA!! Yes, that’s right, Florida!
Ireland was born in Dayton, Ohio and has lived in Florida and now here in Lakeville. While living in Florida her dad took her to a hockey game and she has been in love with the game ever since. Although she’s only played the game for two years, her consistent training is helping Ireland become one of the top players for her age. We have seen great improvements in her game, as have her parents. They have commented how much they think her training has helped her game develop. “We’ve seen her puck control, her shooting, and her overall coordination improve since she started training here,” Ireland’s mom commented. Ireland’s commitment to training and love of the game almost made her want to miss her family vacation to Florida. “I’ll miss hockey!” Ireland told her parents. We’ll miss her too, but thankfully she’ll only be gone for a few weeks!!
Ireland’s favorite part of training at the HDC is the Speed Ramp and her tracking card. She loves having her card so much that she’s been known to sleep with it at night! She chooses the Farmington Tigers and the Minnesota Wild as her favorite teams. When she’s not at the HDC working on her skills, Ireland enjoys playing with her younger sister, playing outside, and rollerblading.
With her continued commitment and determination, Ireland will be a strong player when the season begins. We are glad to have such a hard working, respectful player to work with and look forward to our next training session with her. She helps to make our job so enjoyable!
